During Monaco Yacht Show, Tai Ping pays homage to Edward Fields

For this year's Monaco Yacht Show, Tai Ping pays homage to the rich history of its American subsidiary, Edward Fields.

Established in 1935, Edward Fields boasts a rich and compelling history. Its eponymous founder was the first to coin the term “area rug” and the inventor of a multi-directional tufting tool, known as the “Magic-Needle.” Acquired by Tai Ping in 2005, the company has worked over the decades on some of the most iconic buildings in the United States, from the White House to the guesthouse at Philip Johnson’s Glass House.

An Edward Fields iconic archival design specifically reinterpreted

As part of the 90th anniversary celebrations of its American subsidiary, Edward Fields, Tai Ping gives pride of place on its stand to a new aquatic-themed rug—Earthquake (special Yacht edition)—based on a model from the firm’s extensive archives. Inspired by shifting tectonics—not of destruction, but of evolution—this piece reinterprets earth and ocean movement through Tai Ping artistry.

This year’s show also coincides with the launch of a special Edward Fields anniversary collection created by the in-house design team called Fifth Wall, which will be presented on the stand as well.

Visit us on our stand (PP71) to discover the new developments!

Committed Member of Monaco Yacht Show’s Blue Wake™ Programme

Tai Ping has joined the Blue Wake™ Programme—the Monaco Yacht Show’s initiative dedicated to promoting innovative, environmentally responsible solutions across the superyacht industry.

Tai Ping's Biophilic Program, was carefully reviewed and approved by the Water Revolution Foundation, meeting the jointly defined criteria for material transparency, emission reduction, and circular design.

Tai Ping will present the Biophilic Program at our stand during the show, and contribute to the Blue Wake™ conference series, where we will address the environmental impact of interior textile choices and the urgent need to rethink how sustainability is defined in design and certification frameworks.
